a proud people
by a bay
headed south
swimming amongst
seaweed and fish
grieving when 
they need to
 grieve
quiet chatter
fire on stone
trees beyond
and on
horizon
smiles on brown faces
children yet to be
born
on the waves
of this glittering sea
